All fixtures, events and training dates can be found also on our Google Calendar.
General rowing is normally on a Sunday as near to high tide as possible (see General Row Times below). It is open to all rowers; members, non-members, first timers, experienced, young and less young. If you've found us on the internet and would like to give it a go you can just turn up and join in. However, you may want to call one of our contacts just to make sure we're still going out as the weather and other events sometimes means we have to cancel at short notice.
Prospective new members are offered 3 free Taster Sessions at General Rows, after which they are invited to join as members.
Once the full subscription fee is received by the Membership Coordinator, the new member's details are passed onto the following officers:
1) The Treasurer who record the details. 2) The Secretary, who will inform the new member by e-mail of the clubs activities. 3) The Improvers Crew organiser, Derek Salkeld. 4) The Ladies/mens Co-ordinators who will invite the new member to join crews for further training.
It is really helpful if mobile phone numbers are available for texting crew Rowing Times, and e-mail addresses to receive information electronically.
If there is no e-mail then please ask the Secretary to print off all the necessary information and read this on the appropriate notice board in the Cabin.
If you have any suggestions or ideas for the club please pass them onto the Secretary.
Happy Rowing!
